Tune: Take Me Out to the Ballgame”
Take me out to the ocean
Take me out to the sea
There goes a starfish and sand dollar
I’m having such fun, I’ve just got to holler
Oh, it’s swim, swim, swim underwater
Catch a ride on a whale, don’t fear.
For the sea animals are our friends,
Let’s give a great cheer!
Math & Measuring

Geometry
Children learn to identify shapes and their attributes, and solve mathematical situations using shapes. They begin by exploring how differently shaped objects fit or do not fit together by manipulating such things as nesting cups. Later, they combine and separate shapes to make designs or pictures (i.e. completing shape puzzles)

Cognitive Development
Development in the domain of cognition involves the processes by which young children grow and change in their abilities to pay attention to and think about the world around them. Infants and young children rely on their senses and relationships with others; exploring objects and materials in different ways and interacting with adults both contribute to children’s cognitive development.
